    Espresso Infused White Russian

    White Russian is a twist of its predecessor, the “Black Russian” (5:2 vodka:coffee liqueur). The Black Russian is a signature drink designed for Perle Mesta, the American ambassador to Luxembourg, while he was hanging out at a bar at the Hotel Metropole, Brussels, in 1949. Cream was added to the Black Russian sometime during the cold war period in the 50s or 60s to refine its taste, creating the White Russian. Think of the White Russian as the cappuccino of the vodka/coffee liqueur “world”.
