How To Make Cold Brew Coffee

What is cold brew coffee?
Unlike regular coffee, cold brew is made without using heat. Rather than using heat to extract the natural flavors from the coffee, cold brew uses time. Cold brewing produces a rich and flavorful brew that is smoother and less acidic than conventional coffee. And if you prefer yours a little (or a lot) sweeter, you can add milk, cream or sugar just as you would with hot coffee.

Ready to make cold brew coffee at home?
The good news is that cold brewing coffee at home is easy and any variety of coffee can be used – so grab your favorite medium or dark roast!
While there are several ways to make cold brew, I prefer to use the COLDBREW coffee filters by finum®. Here’s how…
Step 1: Fill the filter bag with 5 flat scoops of your favorite coffee (I’ve been using our Harvest Blend).
Step 2:Â Close the filter bag and lock it with a click.
Step 3:Â Grab a glass (or plastic if you prefer) pitcher, place the filter bag in the pitcher and attach it.
Step 4:Â Fill with water and let it sit on the counter for 12 hours or in the refrigerator for 24 hours.
How long does cold brew last?
As long as you’re storing it in an airtight container in the refrigerator, your cold brew should be good for 7 to 10 days.
