I may be tiny, but I am packed with personality.  Drip coffee lovers, looking for strong chocolate and fruit flavors in their cup, will fall in love with me! A peaberry is a natural mutation of the coffee bean inside its cherry. Normally coffee beans have two seeds in each fruit, flat against each other like halves of a peanut. The exception is 5% of the world's coffee, which has only a single seed which we call peaberry.  They taste noticeably sweeter, brighter and more flavorful than standard-issue beans. Gesha, sometimes referred to as Geisha, is a coffee variety believed to have originated in Ethiopia. In 2019 a lot of Panamanian Geisha coffee, produced by "The Lamastus Family Estates”, sold for $1,029/pound (unroasted) in the Best of Panama auction. Referred as "Elida Natural Geisha 1029", it has been sold in coffee shops all around the world for prices topping over $100 a cup. Our farmer, Fazenda Mandacaru, grows the same line of this Gesha variety as the best farmers in Panama, with the terroir distinction from their farm in Brazil.

It is a balanced blend of some of the best varietals at the farm!  This dark roasted Farm Blend is powerful, for those who enjoy strong coffee. Net weight: 12 OZ (340G) In other words, you will be able to brew 25 cups (8oz) of coffee, which means a cup of coffee nirvana will cost you $0.52. That is not bad for an awesome cup of coffee. Don't you agree? Dark but less oils? Our low emission roaster utilizes convection heat and provides an oxygen-less roasting environment. In it, the heat consistently penetrates the core of the coffee beans and develops a more aromatic and flavorful coffee. The Farm Blend dark roast will present a lighter color when compared to coffees roasted in traditional coffee roasters. Are coffee oils bad? YES! They destroy coffee equipment like grinders and espresso makers. For instance, super-automatic espresso makers are very sensitive to coffee oils. They also cause coffee beans to become rancid very fast, and that's not good for the flavor nor your health. We do everything to minimize oils on the surface of the beans.

This coffee is a favorite at the farm!vvThe cherries are yellow, large, shiny and very sweet. The trees are resistant to coffee rust and are short. The green coffee beans smell wonderful, like tropical fruit. TASTING NOTES: lemons, cashews, a hint of milk chocolate and mild floral notes. FARMER: Fazenda Mandacaru, Brazil
